Belgian Waffles

BGFWAFFLE (BELGIAN GLUTENFREE WAFFLE) OR WHAT!

Who doesn't love belgian waffles - especially when they're glutenfree but you wouldn't know it. This recipe makes 12 big sized waffles with just the right "crunch" but with a soft center:

  • 400 g Toast & Baguette mix
  • 6 large eggs
  • 470 g milk
  • 90 g melted butter or oil
  • 26 g baking powder
  • 5 g vanilla sugar
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • OPTIONAL: adding 1 tbsp (icing) sugar for added sweetness

Mix all the dry ingredients together.

Whisk in the milk and egg (with a whisk, not a spatula). Finally whisk in the melted butter.

This is a thick dough - not like your usual pancake dough that you can pour… this you need to slob / lift up a lump of dough with a spoon.

Heat up the waffle grill - place a good sized spoon of dough in the middle and bake / cook for 7 minutes until golden brown. Take out and place on a grate for a minute so it ”steams off”. That way you also get a bit more crunch to the waffle (it’s not super crunchy anyway).

Enjoy
